Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 29 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tradeora ("Tradeora", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information when you use the Tradeora mobile application (the "App").
The App is currently operated by Jack P McLoughlin, trading as Tradeora.
If ownership or operation of the App is transferred to a company or other legal entity in the future, this Privacy Policy will automatically apply to that entity as the operator from the date of transfer, and we will update this Policy accordingly.
By creating an account or using the App, you acknowledge that your personal information will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Your use of the App is also subject to our Terms of Service.
Tradeora is an educational trading discipline and journaling platform. It is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account;
- authenticate sign-ins;
- provide the App's features;
- synchronise your data across devices;
- maintain leaderboards and social features;
- generate your monthly review and insights on your device;
- process subscriptions;

- protect the security of the App and our users.
4. Our Legal Basis for Processing
We handle your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and any other data protection law that applies to you.
We process your personal information because:
- it is necessary to provide the App and perform our contract with you — creating and managing your account, providing the App's features, synchronising your data across devices, and processing your subscription;
- it is necessary to comply with legal obligations;
- it is in our legitimate interests to secure and improve the App — including account security, moderation of profile images, blocking and reporting tools, fraud prevention and troubleshooting; or
- you have given your consent — for example, for optional notifications and for sharing your stats with friends or on leaderboards. You can withdraw consent at any time in the App's settings, or in your device settings for notifications.
5. Where Your Information Is Stored
Tradeora uses Supabase as its backend platform.
Your information may be stored using:
- Supabase Authentication;
- PostgreSQL databases;
- secure cloud file storage for uploaded images.
Access controls are designed so users can generally only access their own information together with any information that another user intentionally shares through the App.
6. Third-Party Services
We use carefully selected third-party providers to operate the App.
These currently include:
Supabase
- authentication;
- databases;
- file storage.
Apple
- subscription processing;
- App Store purchases.
Apple processes payment information directly. We do not receive or store your complete payment details.
RevenueCat
- subscription entitlement management.
Anthropic
Automated image moderation. When you upload a profile picture, that image is securely transmitted to Anthropic's API to check that it is suitable for a general audience before it is stored or shown to other users.
Only the profile picture itself is sent. Your journal entries, trades and notes are not transmitted to Anthropic or to any other artificial intelligence provider.
Each provider processes information in accordance with its own privacy documentation.
7. Automated Processing
Your journal is not sent to an AI provider. Your monthly review, insights and statistics are calculated on your own device from the information you have already logged. They are not generated by artificial intelligence, and your journal entries, trades and notes are not transmitted to any AI provider for that purpose.
The one place Tradeora uses artificial intelligence is profile picture moderation. When you upload a profile picture, the image is sent to Anthropic's API to be checked automatically for content unsuitable for a general audience. If an image is flagged, it is not stored or shown to other users, and a record of the rejection is kept for abuse monitoring. The image itself is not retained by us for that purpose.
This check is automated. If you believe a profile picture has been rejected in error, you can contact us using the details in Section 15.
Your reviews and insights are provided for information only, and you remain responsible for your own trading decisions.
8. Notifications
Tradeora may send notifications including:
- streak reminders;
- accountability reminders;
- daily prompts;
- security notifications;
- important service announcements.
Most notifications can be controlled from:
Settings → Notifications
You may also disable notifications entirely through your device settings.
9. Your Rights
Depending upon your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- access your personal information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- request deletion;
- request a copy of your information;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent where processing relies upon consent.
Within the App you can also:
- download a complete copy of your data at any time from Settings → Download My Data;
- permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete Account;
- manage privacy settings;
- block users;
- report users.
To exercise any of your rights, please contact:
We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, you have the right to complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner or, if you are resident elsewhere, to your local data protection authority.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App and comply with legal obligations.
When you permanently delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain limited information for:
- fraud prevention;
- security;
- legal compliance;
- dispute resolution.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information.
These include:
- encrypted connections;
- authentication security;
- access controls;
- secure cloud infrastructure;
- regular software updates where appropriate.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security and you use the App at your own risk.
12. International Transfers
The App is operated from Jersey, Channel Islands.
Our service providers — including Supabase, Apple, RevenueCat and Anthropic — may process your information in countries outside Jersey and outside your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used to protect international transfers of personal information, as permitted under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018.
13. Children's Privacy
Tradeora is intended only for users aged 18 years or older.
We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly remove the information where appropriate.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Where changes are material we will notify users through the App or by other reasonable means.
The Effective Date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was last updated.
